monomers
![Picture](/uploads/1/3/9/2/13926526/28763.jpg)
- diff - A molecule that can be bonded to other identical molecules to form a polymer.
- mine - that they can be bonded and they can make molecules too .
- ex : monomer: glucose, fructose, galactose
polymer: maltose, sucrose, lactose
macromolecules

- A molecule containing a very large number of
atoms
Biological
macromolecules
- are defined as large molecules made up of smaller organic molecules. There are
four classes of macromolecules: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic
acids.
-A large complex molecule, such as nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, with relatively large molecular
weight.
-A monomer is one of the subunits of polymers. So imagine a string of
pearls. Each pearl is a monomer.
-what i think about them - that they can make large numbers and they and make smalller ones and do a bunch more stuff its cool to see what macromolecules do and what they are mad of and how they are used and see what they look like they are small and they can grow bigger then what they are when they become large

man made polymers

- Many polymers are synthetic or “man-made”. Organic
polymers are made up of carbon and hydrogen, while inorganic (man made)
polymers have other atoms such as silicon along their backbone.

natural polymers

-web diff - (Natural polymer) Biopolymers are polymers produced by living organisms. Cellulose, starch, chitin, proteins, peptides, DNA and RNA are...
- mine - they are living things and the have proteins .
- ex : plants , people ,animals are made polymers .
hydrocarbons

- wed - A compound of hydrogen and carbon, such as any of those that are the chief
components of petroleum and natural gas
- mine - that they are made up of gasses and they are carbon
- ex : methane , Ch4 is a natural gas and is used in home heating
- more ex : methane , ethane , propane, bextane pentane hexane ect
everyday ex : LP gas( cooking gas ) petrol candle wax petroleum gel , some petroleum such as those shopping bags and milk bottles .
